To Have and to Hold

I spent last weekend in Norfolk, VA for my cousin Megan's wedding. In old school family-road-trip style, my parents, sisters, and I piled into the Highlander for five and a half hours of Bon Jovi, head-flicking, and wet-willies which Keely (as the youngest) dutifully bared the brunt of. I must admit, I wasn't into the whole trip at first; after many phone interviews, drives to DC, and personal upsets the past few weeks, I mostly wanted to sloth around the house and watch Sex and the City re-runs. But as it turned out, a weekend of drinking and laughing with my family was just what the doctor ordered!

The wedding itself was beautiful- simple and sweet- and Megan was honestly one of the happiest most gorgeous brides I have ever seen. It was a rare occasion in that my entire family was able to make the trip, however it was painstakingly clear (especially when they played the Ave Maria for my Grandmom) that we were very incomplete.

All in all it was a great weekend- tearing up the dance floor with my cousins, catching up with extended family, and partaking in some nice sisterly bonding. Because really, nothing says love like a wet-willy.
